Rules

General Rules

1. We do not establish time records on routs, where the trek mostly goes down (for example Namche-Lukla). Trying to run down the hill as fast as possible may be dangerous and may even end up in a hospital with a broken leg.

2. If you stop for a while to take a rest or to have a drink – the time of your stop is not deducted from the total time spent on the route.

Route Marks

1. The starting point for routes Namche-Mong, Namche-Tengboche etc. is the big “om mani padme hum” stone at the exit from Namche.

2. The finishing point for route Namche-Mong is the Mong stupa.

3. The finishing point for route Namche-Dole is the big flag standing near the first Dole house. No need to go down to the centre of Dole.

4. The finishing point for route Namche-Sanasa is the place you can see on this photos. It’s the top point with unusual stones right before the short descent to the first Sanasa house.
